Taking Accurate Measurements

  • Use a flexible measuring tape.

  • If possible, have someone else measure you. Measurements can be skewed when bending and twisting to measure ourselves.

  • Wear light or minimal clothing if possible to ensure measurements are taken as close to the body as possible.

  • Measurements with the tape snug but not tight, pulling tight can give a measurement that is smaller than the body.

  • Record measurements to the closest 1/8”.
